Gagosian presents an exhibition of new works by Maurizio Cattelan at its space in London’s Burlington Arcade. The display includes watercolors and a new panel work, installed in the upstairs gallery, while the Gagosian Shop houses an extensive selection of editions, publications, and merchandise, including new T-shirts.

Some of Cattelan’s watercolors depict images of flowers that have been shot, though here the bullet holes are painted, not actual; others picture his iconic banana-and-duct-tape sculpture Comedian (2019) imposed over a variety of other images including an unmade bed and a cloudy sky. The panel on view features a portrait of the artist printed on wood that has also been shot, in this case literally, to produce a scattered pattern of holes. In their production and imagery, these works resonate with Bones, Cattelan’s concurrent exhibition at Gagosian’s Davies Street gallery, and with his installation Sunday (2024), both of which feature gold-plated panels that have been shot with semiautomatic weapons.

Cattelan is also taking over the Gagosian Shop with a wide selection of editions—many of which feature or reference classic works such as Him (2001) and L.O.V.E. (2010)—publications, and new merchandise, including T-shirts created in collaboration with the artist.

On April 9, the Gagosian Shop will host a book launch and signing to celebrate the rerelease of Francesco Bonami’s Stuck: Maurizio Cattelan—The Unauthorized Autobiography in a new and updated English edition, published by Gagosian.
