Artist: Hauck Plümpe
Alice Hauck and Amelie Plümpe live and work in Berlin. In 2018, they founded the artist duo HAUCK PLÜMPE.
In their art, they conceptually, sculpturally, and performatively explore the interfaces between model and architecture, as well as investigating industrial and everyday logistics systems. HAUCK PLÜMPE have developed a modular system using which they can create constantly changing spatial installations and sculptures. These are walk-through architectural pointers to places of transit, of production, and of often invisible labor. The duo research human routines and habitual activities within various work structures and occupational groups. They stage what they observe by means of performative actions and video works, in which context they use their spatial installations and sculptures as fictious venues and playgrounds. They consider the ongoing expansion of their collection of sculptures as a microcosm and narrative strategy underpinning their artistic practice.
