Philip Martin Gallery presents innovative, experimental and ambitious artworks in all media at its gallery location in Los Angeles, and at art fairs, both in the United States and abroad. In January 2023 the gallery moved to a new 4,000 square foot location at 3342 Verdugo Road, Los Angeles CA 90065, in the Glassell Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Philip Martin Gallery represents Ericka Beckman, Kwame Brathwaite, Brian Bress, Carl Cheng, Holly Coulis, Katy Cowan, Tomory Dodge, Daniel Dove, Jackie Gendel, Sky Glabush, Pamela Jorden, Kristy Luck, Aaron Morse, James Morse, Laurie Nye, Pat O’Neill, Joanne Petit-Frère, Muzae Sesay, Lew Thomas, Sophie Treppendahl and Michael Wesik.

Philip Martin Gallery won the International Art Critics Association award for Best Show in a Commercial Gallery Nationally for its remounting of curator Peter Bunnell’s 1970 MoMA exhibition, “Photography into Sculpture.” The gallery has published such catalogs as, “Sky Glabush: Sun/Gate” (2022) and “Hal Fischer: Gay Semiotics” (1977/2014), and has provided support for books like, “Thought Pieces: 1970s Photographs by Lew Thomas, Donna-Lee Philips, and Hal Fischer” (SFMoMA/MACK, 2020); “Ericka Beckman: Double Reverse” (MIT, 2019); “Kwame Brathwaite” (Aperture, 2018); “Ericka Beckman” (Secession, 2017); “Brian Bress: Make Your Own Friends” (MCA Denver, 2016); “Matt Connors: Machines” (Rainoff, 2014); “Robert Heinecken: Lessons in Posing Subjects” (WIELS, Contemporary Art Centre, 2014); and “Robert Overby: Works 1969-1987” (CAC Geneva/Mousse, 2014).
